Front Parlor

The front parlor serves as the siting room for our Queen Ann Victorian. The room's highlight is the original Victorian stain glass window above the largest bay window of the house.

Our 1897 coach and chair with six feet has been reupholstered for our guests' comfort. In the background are two Tiffany Peacock Lamp reproductions (1920) that stand atop 1920 hard wood plant stands.

Tiffany lamp reproduction (circa 1910) sits upon a Victorian side board (circa 1920). On either side of the lamp sit two statues, "The Mountain Man" (1905) and "The Rattlesnake" (1905), that are 1930's reproductions of castings by Remington.

This stain glass window decorates the front door to our Bed & Breakfast.

Parlor with T.V.

Antiques in this room include a Russian Icon purchased at St Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in St. Petersburg, Russia, and a 1895 Duncan Five demi lune top with three legs on a tripod base table.

The lithograph above the T.V. was purchased by owner Enoch Aguilera at an auction by the Dominican sisters of the University in San Rafael California on August 1990. The lithograph is titled "St. Augustine and the Child" from the fresco by Benozzo Gozzoli in the church of St. Augustine at S. Gimignano and was drawn by Signor Marrianne CCI. It was chromolithographed by Wilhelm Greve, Berlin.

The mantel of the coal burning fireplace has six ionic columns beautifully mounted on ivory tile. The cast iron cover has a bust of a Victorian woman which matches the one in the sitting room parlor.

Antiques in this room include a French mirror (1890), a print of "State of California Map" (1877), a 1919 Art Deco English Armoire, and French paintings dating from the late 1700s to 1800s.

The fireplace mantel is framed in blue Portguese tile with a simple cast iron cover for coal burning.

French statue 1897 by LaBe Grenniins Studio depicts a modern Indian sitting next to his horse. The painting above the couch is an original oil painting by W. Bancroft (1895).
